What was at stake?
Eight2O was the largest water infrastructure joint venture ever created and was accountable for delivering £1.7bn of projects within five years with ground-breaking innovations.

What did we do together?
Centre for Teams worked with the MD and his leadership team, drawn from all seven partners, including Thames Water plc, to clarify team purpose and its own coherent identity, a clear goal set and ways of working for the team. Alongside clarity of purpose and team identity, a key focus was building trust and psychological safety – a significant contributor to business success in a team composed of those from different cultures. In addition, a clear goal set and operational and learning rhythm allowed continuous course correction and establishing a sound performance focus.

What was the outcome?
Business performance significantly improved. The team led the business to a significant improvement in ‘customer performance’, substantially improved business efficiency and an excellent HSE record.
